As a qualified nurse with over 40 years experience and training from Charing Cross Hospital in London, I offer Microsuction Earwax removal in my local area of Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Prices are £60 per session for both ears.
If both ears require treatment the price is £60 (including deposit).
If only one ear requires treatment the price is discounted to £40 (including deposit).
If after your ear assessment, no treatment is required, your deposit covers your assessment time and no further payment is required.
Note: For best results, it is recommended that you soften the wax in your ears using olive oil at least three days prior to your appointment. I suggest six sprays of Earol Olive Oil spray into each blocked ear twice a day. This can be purchased from most pharmacies.
An out of hours service is also available on request from my home on Saddlers Mead, Wilton, Wiltshire.
Although it is not possible to provide ear microsuction during a home visit, I am able to provide ear irrigation services instead. Home visits are currently available within the Wilton village boundary.
No, but it can cause a little discomfort if your wax is very hard.
You will receive a short assessment taking a past medical history before your ear examination. Once the treatment plan has been confirmed, microsuction will be performed. It is a very noisy procedure and we would require you to keep very still.
Yes, we continue to wear full PPE during this time and plan to for the foreseeable future.
When attending for an appointment, you will be greeted by me in full PPE and taken through my property to a room located at the rear. A full assessment will be given before treatment is provided and a chance to discuss any queries you may have.
The risk of damage by microsuction is very low in comparison to traditional ear irrigation that uses water.

Yes. Wax is formed to clean your ear canal and drum. If you continue to use olive oil in your ear regularly after microsuction, it should come out naturally.
I offer weekly clinics, however if you would like to be seen earlier, please contact me and I will do my best to arrange a suitable time for you at no extra cost.

Welcome to CleanEars. My name is Christine and I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1977. I have worked extensively in Kent, Essex and Sussex during my career and have experience in Hospitals, Medical Practices and nursing in the community.
It was in the community that I learnt how to remove ear wax by irrigation and began to offer a regular weekly service.
Previously it was only possible to have ear microsuction if you visited a General Hospital, where Audiologists and Doctors were trained to offer the services.
Training has since expanded to Registered Nurses and Pharamacists. As this is a service I enjoy providing, I enrolled at Charing Cross Hospital in London to obtain the necessary certification and went on to set up CleanEars. I now offer regular microsuction services in my local area of Salisbury, Wiltshire.
